Overland Adventures with Fox Bravo!

Fox Bravo Overland (FBO) is an off-road/overland adventure team consisting of U.S. military and law enforcement veterans who aggressively tackle long distance off-road challenges in their four-wheel drive vehicles.

Join our team!

We encourage and enable military and law enforcement members and veterans to join us, regardless of injuries or disabilities. Our teams have included many veterans with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), as well as significant physical disabilities (multiple amputees, spinal cord injuries, cancer and other debilitating ailments). You do not need your own vehicle to join! Trips are funded through donations and sponsorships.

Our mission started in 2011 when a handful of guys who had redeployed from Afghanistan and Iraq found themselves struggling with reintegrating into “normal” life. The guys opted to head out into the untamed wilds of the western US where they found an environment where they once again experienced:

  • camaraderie

  • teamwork

  • mission focus

  • physical and mental challenges

  • peer mentorship and counsel

We have just returned from an awesome adventure. Stay tuned for the next opportunity!

FBO has completed over 20 adventure expeditions and in September 2024 we traveled to New Mexico and Colorado, conquering difficult off-road trails while working together to meet challenges.

We rely on sponsors and donations to make these adventures happen. Your support is appreciated!

FBO and Heroes Night Out/Heroes Resource Center (HNO) have teamed up for these events. In addition to assisting with identifying participants, HNO will provide a 501c3 fundraising capability for tax deductible donations.

Veterans have learned they are not alone in their struggles and most remain in regular contact with each other, providing emotional and peer support.

Operation Southwestern Spirit

From September 8–18, 2024, Fox Bravo Overland traveled from Albuquerque, New Mexico, on and off pavement throughout northern New Mexico and southern Colorado.

We spent four days exploring Colorado, including reaching an incredible 12,800-foot elevation on the Alpine Loop Trail. With rugged trails, beautiful scenery, and historic towns, the team stayed busy.

From north of Durango, Colorado, we headed south, again on and off pavement, to Los Alamos, New Mexico. While at Camp 2, the team visited the cliff dwellings in Bandelier National Monument, the magnificent Valles Caldera, and the historic town of Los Alamos.

Throughout, the teams competed against each other in games of skill, including archery, darts, fire building, land navigation, and more.

Upon our return to Albuquerque, the winning team was declared, and a final supper was shared. Teammates have become close and remain in contact daily. Though we have returned home, we will rely on each other for morale and support.

On return? Start planning for the next adventure, of course! Phoenix to Death Valley? Colorado into Wyoming? Stay tuned for the next opportunity to be part of this fantastic team!
